7 Difference Between G8 And G20

1. G8: The eight groups are the most economically powerful democracies in the world. G20: The twenty groups are the major economies consisting of finance ministers and central bank governors. 2. G8 was founded in 1975. G20 was founded in 1997. 3. Both the G8 and G20 originated from the G7, a seven-nation coalition that included Britain, United States, France, Canada, Japan, Italy, and Germany. 4. Members included: G8: France, Germany, Italy, Japan, UK, US, Canada, Russia G20: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Britain, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan,Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Turkey, US , The European Union 5. In 1997, Russia joined the ranks of the G7, and the coalition was renamed to the G8.
