7 Difference Between Get And Take

1. Take has an additional sense that the subject acted -- did something -- in order to come to possess the object. This might be with or without permission of the current possessor. 2. Get is to receive, gain or obtain something. 3. Example: Take: Take a seat. Would you like some tea. Get: I told him thousands of times but he did not get the message. 4. Action: Take is used when there is some action by the subject. Get is used when there is no action from the subject. Get is also used in instances where it means to buy.
