1. Inverter air conditioner units utilise more movable parts in order to control the compressor motor speed. This makes it expensive to repair the unit.
2. Inverter ACs cost more.
3. Specialist technicians are hard to find for inverter ACs. Most local technicians have little to no experience with these new ACs.
4. Slightly higher risk of leakage due to higher pressure of refrigerant.
5. Must use a thicker pipe.
6. Cooling process longer than conventional AC.
7. Efficiency decreases at noon if weather is extremely hot (over 45°C or 113°F)
8. These ACs frequently accompany R410A refrigerant gas while most experts still just have an R-22 (CFC-based) refrigerant gas. Clients will need to request that their specialists refill the AC with R410A when required.
